1. What is Home Care ?Dynamic Associated Companies Home care has a long history of providing home quality home care to individuals in their homes. A full spectrum of cost-effective services, ranging from high-tech nursing to non-medical assistance with the activities of daily living, are available. Who Uses Home Care ?Most people prefer to stay home rather than go to a hospital or nursing home when they can no longer manage their own care. Home care is not just an alternative to institutionally based care - home care services can allow many individuals to avoid institutional care altogether. Back to Top3. Who Pays for Home Care ?Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Private Insurance and Private Payors all can pay for Skilled Nursing Services. These services must be ordered by a physician and may only be covered for a specific amount of time or "visits". Custodial Care (ADL's) however, is usually only covered by Long Term Care Insurance and Private pay. Custodial care cost is determined by the type of care needed by each individual patient. How is your Home Care Agency Regulated ?Organized home care programs such as Dynamic Associated Companies are highly regulated by the state and federal government. Licensed home health agencies undergo annual licensure surveys through the State's (California & Nevada) Department of Health Services. Medicare-certified programs are surveyed annually against the Medicare Conditions of Participation. As employers, Dynamic Associated Companies also comply with all federal and state OSHA requirements, as well as other applicable laws and regulations. Back to Top5. How are Nurses and Caregivers selected ?Dynamic Associated Companies home care Staff meet high standards for training, and many, such as Registered Nurses, Therapists and Certified Nursing Assistants, hold professional licenses or certificated through the Board of Registered Nursing and other regulatory authorities. Potential staff is put through an extensive background check, oriented and then bonded and insured to protect the patient from any liability. Back to Top6. What are the obligations of the patient/client ?The only obligation of the patient/client is pay for services rendered. There is no long term obligation with the caregiver or the agency. If the patient/client is dissatisfied with the caregiver, they can be changed, if the the patient /client is dissatisfied with the agency, they can stop receiving services at any time. As a patient/client you have the right to inform agency personnel, without fear of reprisal, of any concerns you may have regarding your care, the services rendered or treatment of your personal property.
